Each REU participant will work directly with VINSE faculty members and their research groups and be part of the larger VINSE community. The goal of the Summer Internship Program in Biomedical Research at NHLBI is to expose students to research investigation in a highly enriched environment that is devoted exclusively to biomedical research and training. The Program is open to high school and college, wave fellows program graduate or Medical and Dental Students. Participants join a research laboratory for a minimum of ten weeks between June and August and conduct research in selected areas of investigation under the guidance of an NHLBI intramural research scientist. With your support, students willlearn how the skills they have developed in the Humanities can lead to meaningful and long-lasting careers.
Only in exceptional cases may master’s students who meet all eligibility requirements for this program be selected for funding. The Arthur Miller Foundation collaborated with Peter Avery, NYC DOE Director of Theater, to develop the program which is tailored to first, second and third year theater teachers, named Arthur Miller Fellows. The WAVE Fellows program provides support for talented undergraduates intent on pursuing a Ph.D. to conduct a 10-week summer research project at Caltech. Summer research gives students an opportunity to gain additional experience in a laboratory setting. Many students have worked in academic labs while others have found their way into industry. The Dual-degree Engineering Transfer Program offers students the opportunity to earn both a degree in physics from Salisbury University and an engineering degree from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology -accredited engineering program. Under the program, a student normally attends SU for three years and an engineering school for two years.
As a fellow you will spend a dynamic summer embedded with an ecosystem building organization and work alongside startup companies. The Cal Poly Pomona Student Research, Scholarship & Creative Activities Conference is an annual event that provides an opportunity for our undergraduate and graduate students to share their original research, scholarly and creative activities. All disciplines are represented – this is an opportunity to see CPP students at their best. Students who participate in this conference have the opportunity to be selected to represent CPP at the annual CSU Systemwide Student Research Competition. The Vanderbilt Institute of Nanoscale Science and Engineering focuses on interdisciplinary nanoscale research at the interface of biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. More than 40 faculty participants from the School of Engineering, College of Arts and Science, and the School of Medicine inspire students by creating an atmosphere of excitement and creativity.

Schomburg fellows must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents who can demonstrate that they would contribute to the diversity of the student body of the university, especially those who have overcome a disadvantage or other impediment to success in higher education. In awarding these fellowships, academic units may give consideration to students who are of a race or ethnicity that is underrepresented in its graduate or professional programs but may not make awards solely on that basis.
The Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health MIRT Program builds on established linkages with academic institutions throughout the world including in Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Republic of Georgia, Peru, Mexico, Ecuador, Chile, and Australia. Texas Astronomy Undergraduate Research experience for Under-represented Students at UT Austin The TAURUS program is a full-time, 9-week summer research experience for highly-motivated undergraduate students from underserved and traditionally marginalized groups. We prepare these excellent students to enter graduate school in top-rated astronomy programs or the STEM workforce by providing authentic research experiences, ongoing professional development, and community support beyond the conclusion of the summer program. The Center offers programs to stimulate undergraduate students’ interest in science and engineering, and particularly in energy efficient electronics science.

The Arthur A. Schomburg Fellowship is a graduate fellowship program for eligible underrepresented students who will pursue graduate study on a full time basis at the University at Buffalo. Former Lt. Governor Cyrus Habib launched the Washington World Fellows program in 2017 in partnership with the Washington State Leadership Board as the state’s first global leadership program for high school students. The purpose of the program is to provide students who may lack access to similar opportunities with training that will enhance their high school academics, support their trajectory into college, and encourage them to become leaders in their communities.

Santa Fe Institute The program asks students to discard traditional disciplinary boundaries, and combine concepts and tools from the physical, natural, and social sciences. The program is designed to assist students in developing their own research questions and projects in close collaboration with the SFI faculty and postdoctoral fellows.
Through SULI and CCI, undergraduate students discover science and technology careers at the DOE National Laboratories and gain the experience needed to transition from intern to employment.
